Help Create a Warm Welcome
Concierge Team members are often the first friendly face our guests see when they arrive at the Center. By offering a warm greeting, answering questions, and helping people find their way, you play an important role in creating a welcoming and connected experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Time Commitment
- One Sunday per month – before and after Service.
- We ask for an initial 6–12 month commitment so that you have an opportunity to become comfortable in the role and build connections with our community.
What Makes Someone a Great Fit?
You don’t need special training or extensive computer skills. The most important quality is a genuine desire to welcome and help others.
- Warm and friendly: You enjoy meeting people and helping them feel comfortable and at home.
- People-oriented: This is a high-touch volunteer role with lots of opportunities to connect with guests and members.
- Attentive and present: Fellowship Hall can be lively and busy after Service, so being comfortable in an active environment is helpful.
- Comfortable with basic technology: You should be able to navigate our website to find information and register people for events. If you’ve ever shopped or registered for an event online, you likely have the skills you need!
How You’ll Help
As a Concierge Team member, you’ll help make each person’s experience at the Center a little easier and more welcoming. You may:
- Greet first-time guests and offer them a Welcome Packet.
- Answer general questions and help people find the information they need. You don’t need to have all the answers; simply listen, offer help, and make sure each person is connected with the right person or resource.
- Assist members and guests with registering for events.
- Notice when someone may need assistance and offer a friendly “May I help you?”
Most of all, we’re looking for people who enjoy welcoming others and helping them feel that they belong.
